IHS Towers is the largest independent tower operator in Europe, the Middle East and Africa by tower count and the third largest independent multinational tower company globally, with over 23,000 towers.
Founded in 2001, IHS Towers provides services across the full tower value chain – colocation on owned towers, deployment and managed services. Additionally, IHS oversees all aspects of telecommunication network construction; ranging from site acquisition and design, equipment supply, electromechanical installation, integration and testing.
IHS continues to grow and develop its business with market leading positions in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Rwanda and Zambia. IHS also led in-market consolidation in Africa through its acquisition of Helios Towers Nigeria in 2016, and announced an agreement in October 2017 to acquire Zain’s towers in Kuwait, subject to certain regulatory and statutory approvals.
IHS employs over 2,000 people and has made large investments into hybrid energy solutions including solar and the remote monitoring of networks through cutting edge network operating centers which monitor tower site operations in all countries of operation.
