The Regional Maritime University (RMU), Accra, Ghana, is an international tertiary institution dedicated to the consistent development of human capital in the maritime and allied industry of the sub-region and beyond.
The RMU occupies the historic premises of the old Ghana Nautical College which was established in 1958 to train ratings for the erstwhile State Shipping Corporation (Black Star Line). She attained full University status on the 25th of October, 2007. Since attaining a university status, we have expanded our programmes to cover a wide range of fields while still maintaining the flagship maritime related programmes.
The RMU is dedicated to continually improve its service to student, alumni and stakeholders. in this regard, we have developed our Quality Management System on the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and have since September, 2007 been certified to the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
