The GPPS is a futuristic Project Management society. Professor Leicester is the President and has been a Project Management practitioner for the last 43 years, a university lecturer for the last 25 years and is currently appointed as a visiting professor of Project Management by the University of Reading.
Projects continue to fail despite the existence of international Project Management bodies and associations and the increasing number of certified project managers worldwide. It should be noted that 75% of failed projects fail because of the organization. Only 25% of failed projects fail because of the project manager. The GPPS has examined the problem and is offering a practical solution to ensure the realism and integrity of Project Management as a profession and individuals as Project Management Professionals and organisations as effective and supportive Project Management organisations
