Wayamba University is the thirteenth national university in Sri Lanka, established in 1999. The main purpose of the university is offering totally English medium Degree, Diploma and Certificate courses (both internal and external)on various areas such as Agriculture, Engineering and Management for students as well as professionals.
The University is headquartered at Kuliyapitiya, Sri Lanka along with another premises at Makandura, Sri Lanka, housing two Faculties at each premises.Faculty of Applied Sciences and Faculty of Business Studies and Finance reside at Kuliyapitiya premises. Makandura houses for Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management and Faculty of Livestock, Fisheries and Nutrition.
