The American University of Kurdistan (AUK) seeks to foster respect for learning, knowledge and genuine academic achievement.
It was founded in 2014 by Masrour Barzani, an alumnus of the American University in Washington, D.C., to provide comprehensive liberal arts education and to encourage cross-disciplinary research in the region.
