Masvingo Polytechnic is conveniently located along Masvingo-Beitbridge highway opposite Flamboyant Hotel. It is the biggest College in Masvingo Province and offers a variety of courses from which one is free to choose from. Each one of our courses offers one an opportunity to realize one’s potential academically as well as professionally. This will increase one’s chances of getting employed as well as starting one’s own business.
The College has five Divisions and these include the Division of Commerce, Division of Applied Arts, Division of Applied Sciences, Division of Engineering and last but not least the Division of Adult & Continuing Education. Masvingo Polytechnic, just like any other Polytechnic offers a B-Tech Honours degree programme in Food Science Technology.
This Degree programme caters for students who would have done or completed ND/HND courses in Food Science. Masvingo Polytechnic offers part-time studies mainly in the Division of Commerce and Block release in the Engineering and Applied Sciences Division in some courses.
As a means to ensure access to training by those with no 5 “O” levels, we offer Traditional Apprentices programmes during school holidays on specific skills so that one can seek a living from it. The programme runs for ten days during school holidays. Students are then expected to find attachment with relevant Industries in between the holidays in order to improve their hands on skills.
