Gateway Holdings Limited (GHL) is an investment management company of Ogun State Government of Nigeria.

The Company was incorporated on April 1, 2004 and commences operations in July 2004 at its office in Abeokuta., the capital City of Ogun State, South West Nigeria
On July 27, 2004, His Excellency, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, signed an instrument vesting the properties belonging to the State Government and its statutory agencies in Gateway Holdings Limited.
Prior to its incorporation, management of investments belonging to Ogun State Government were evidently inefficient, and arguably chaotic. Investments in quoted shares were held in various names reflecting different nomenclature adopted by previous administrations. In the midst of this confusion, it was practically impossible to track bonus certificates, dividend warrants and right circulars. In many cases, Government was not aware of dividends until warrants “strolled in”, while close to half of certificates belonging to the State were missing.

However, the management of State owned companies and other unquoted (private) investments were only slightly better. Potential private investors were reluctant to approach the State and tap into the numerous business opportunities that abound because of their perceived mindset of ‘government bureaucracy’.
In order to address these challenges, the State Government established Gateway Holdings Limited as a one-stop shop for the management of the investments of Ogun State.
Presently, the Company’s office is at OPIC Tower, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.
