Facilities Manager

Job Introduction

Adexen was mandated by an international Logistics company to recruit an experienced Facilities Manager for its operations in Nigeria. The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing the security, maintenance, and services of work facilities to ensure that they meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
• Oversees environmental safety and infrastructure audits to ensure all faults and breakdowns are being fixed or replaced
• Ensures infrastructure testing and repair on regular basis
• Identifies and ensures the replacements of old facility equipment with updated and more efficient equipment
• Schedules and supervises maintenance repairs and assists with checking installations
• Oversees building projects, renovations, or refurbishments
• Manages facility budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness on installations
• Manages all work related to the maintenance of Company’s properties.
• Partner with the Procurement manager to source vendors for supply of products and services.
• Serve as primary contact for facility related emergencies
• Develop systems and processes for reporting faults and effective facility management.
• Ensure all facilities are compliant with HSE regulations and best practices, standards, and policies

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognised university
• Master's degree is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar senior position within an international company.
• Proven experience in team management
• Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
• Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Good analytical/critical thinking
