Adexen was mandated by a leading FMCG company to recruit a HR Director for its activities in Nigeria. The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Responsibilities
The main responsibility of the Human Resource Director is to provide strategic leadership for all aspects of the Human Resource function and oversee the entire value chain implementation and maintenance within the organization.
Develop constructive HR Strategies, policies and organizational structure
Provide leadership and direction to management in the implementation of institutional and HR reforms by establishing appropriate linkages to the operational strategy of the organisation
Supervise and manage the HR Managers (multiple sites)
Negotiate and administer labor agreements and relationship with unions
Responsible for compliance with statutory and legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions
Develop, direct & monitor the Learning and Development process and activities so as to build capacity
Drive change management programs and effective culture changes
Ensure appropriate systems of performance management, communications, quality measures, monitoring and review are in place, culture and values.
Budget management & HR Data analysis
Desired Skills and Experience
Master's degree. A professional HR Certification is a plus
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within an international FMCG or manufacturing group
Knowledge of all HR areas (Personnel administration, Staffing/Resourcing, Organisational capability, Training and development, Compensation and Benefit and Employee Relations)
Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
Must work effectively with all management levels to influence, coach and support.
Organisation and team leadership
Strong oral and written communications skills
