Adexen was mandated by an international organisation to recruit an experienced Operations Manager (Logistics and Oil&Gas). The position is based in Port Harcourt.
Responsibilities
Responsible formanaging key accounts,coordinating field operationsproviding operationalsolutions forprospectiveandexisting businesses. Will havethorough knowledgeof oilandgas the logistics operationsand be the subject matter expert for the team
Build & adaptprocess & organizations:Build and review regularly theimportorganisation(staff,skills).KAEunits must be balanced in terms of skills andexperience.
DefineSOPsin collaborationwith QHSE department
Organizeperiodicoperationalreviewwith the support ofQHSE department& implementvalidated recommendations
ManageExistingclientportfolio:Ensure that theagreedquality of service is delivered to clients (according to quotation conditionsand Groupguideline)
Ensure that no potential business with current clients is lost,IncreaseGroup Oil & Gas participationin client’s business byoffering complimentary services (warehousing, bargingetc.),
Providing solutionsto customers fortheir logisticschallenges,Lead/ assistKAEcommunication with theclient in case of operational issue (potential or real),
Involvement incredit control, summit weekly report to GM and assist credit control officer on specific challenges.
Monitor qualityof service and profitability forthe department;
Responsible for the achievement of budget goalsinterms ofcosts, disbursements, DSO andQuality of Service,Review andanalyze disbursements.
Manage operational relationship with subcontractors:In charge of operational relationship with operationalsubcontractors(excluding tariffs negotiation)including internal ones,Organize and follow the quality of service delivered by the subcontractors& provide corresponding feedback to GM,Ensure thebalance in terms of workload between subcontractors
Alert/InformManagement;Implementspecificorganization/controlonmajorpotentialrisks (temporary import, direct delivery, exemption process...) and performamonthly follow-up at least, in collaboration withfield operations manager.Alert managementin case of significant operational issue (huge impact on quality of service, on invoicing, on sensitive clients...)Inform GMof any informationrelevant regarding our business activityor environment,identifyissues raised during operations processing whatever in his scope or not
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree from a recognised university
A Master's degree will be a plus
At least10years’ experiencein Operations Management
At least8years’ experience inOil & Gasindustry
Technicalknowledge(logistics and oil &gas)
